Lao and Thai cuisine
Thai as well as little less well-known Lao cuisine are incredibly varied and connect spicy and mild ingredients to create light and sophisticated delicious meals. It all begins with heated palm oil, then basic spices and meat, fish or seafood follow which or fried or cooked for only few minutes. Next step is to add fresh vegetables and in the end herb such as basil or coriander, lemongrass, chilli, limes and ginger. Most often coconut milk and nut dipping are used as a way to soften the spices and create a balanced, delicate taste. As a side dish, a top-quality jasmine rice is most commonly used, but rice or glass noodles are no exception.
